Welcome to my Web
site!
The inspiration for many of my quilt
designs come from sketches I’ve drawn and photographs I’ve taken. I’m
surrounded every day by the beautiful scenery of Alaska – which I draw
much of my inspiration from. I’m constantly finding shapes, colors,
lighting and other elements in nature that motivate me to create my
artwork. I love the colors of autumn, bringing back memories of my
childhood in Pennsylvania.
I dye and paint my own fabrics, which
I use frequently in my work. I add the finishing touches by embellishing
my quilts with beads, buttons, thread, yarn and other fun baubles I
discover on life’s journey.
I enjoy working with
other artists,
whether it’s to collaborate on a joint project, or experiment with a new
technique. I’m always looking to expand my creative abilities. In
addition to quilting, I enjoy dabbling in painting, metal work,
sculpture and interior design.
My work has been displayed locally and
also hangs in many private collections.
